Making Money With Viral Videos by James Comer
The rising demand of video sharing sites on the internet these days is opening up new ways to profit from Google's Adsense. Assuming that you are familiar with Google Adsense, if you have a website, you are able to sign up with Google for an Adsense account and have those little ads appearing all over your pages to your heart's content- within their Terms of Service, that is. Whenever someone clicks on those "ads by Google" you are able to keep some of the money that is charged to the the advertiser by Google for showing that advertisement.
Thanks to a little piece of code that those sites give you, you are able to copy and paste these ads right into your own web pages. The code "embeds" a little video player right onto your page and your visitors are able to enjoy their favorite viral video clips without even leaving your site.
You then in-turn make some money off of this by adding the Adsense ads to your video pages. This is just like putting Adsense on any other type of web page except in this case much of your content is already provided for you by YouTube or Google Video- and the best part is, it's FREE.
As always, you should add your own comments to your video pages. After all, you do want to give your visitors increased value over what they would get if they visited the original video site. This original commentary (think duplicate content filters) will make your pages more acceptable to the algorithms that run the search engines as well.
I bet you can remember that "Numa Numa" song that was famous awhile back? That video had its basis in a Romanian pop song with a very catchy tune. Folks by the thousands began making their own version of the "Numa Numa" guy singing the song. They uploaded videos of themselves dancing and lip-synching to the song. I attempted to make my own blog because I wanted to capitalize on this phenomenon and I posted some of what I thought were the best and most interesting "Numa Numa" type videos. I also made comments on them. I got a fair amount of visitors on my blog and made a nice little sum off of Adsense ads whenever people would click on them. But, I was not able to boost my traffic high enough to make anywhere near what I had been hoping for.
Thanks to a new concept in regards to internet videos and adsense, I'm really excited again. Videosense is a web site that has enabled hundreds of people to start posting videos again. Using the code from Google or YouTube people can post videos that they find on the web and share with their friends and everyone else. The whole thing is setup so that the average "Joe" or "Jane" can share in the adsense revenue that the site owner is taking in. It's simple and the price is just right- FREE. It's very easy to learn to use. As the cliche' goes- "It's so simple, even a caveman can do it".
Basically, all you do is post as many videos as you like and then share the links to the videos with your friends or with the world. Whenever folks visit your video pages and click on the adsense ads with your code in them, you make money- simple as that!
It's too early to know just how this concept will take off, but I am predicting that those who get in early will profit significantly.
